EVERYONE BEWARE OF THIS SHOP. I was out of town travelling when my car engine began acting funny. I took it to Honest-1 who immediately stated I needed a new engine totaling $8,000 in parts alone. I decided I would have the car towed back to my home mechanic, it cost me $400 to have the car transported, and another $250 to rent a car to return home to Florida. My local mechanic repaired the car completely in 9 minutes, a fuse had "somehow" been removed. Upon confrontation, Honest-1 stated they would call us back, and never did. They now wont answer the phone. My home mechanic says theres no way fuses just "dissapear". This shop is very dishonest and took advantage of a single mother with 3 children, costing over $650 just to get the car home.
gordy, we are sorry that you are not satisfied with the diagnostic results for your 2015 Hyundai Sonata. When the vehicle was brought into our shop, it was running very rough and the check engine light was on. After extensive diagnostic testing, including pulling four error codes from the car's computer and performing a compression test on all four cylinders, it was determined that the engine needed to be replaced due to internal engine damage causing cylinder misfires. This recommendation was based on the diagnostic test results, the vehicle's longevity, and safety. Honest-1 Auto Care of Roswell has gained a positive reputation over the past 11 years and would never intentionally damage a customer's vehicle. Our service advisor spoke with Kim and a man requesting that detailed documentation be provided to us about how the other shop 'fixed' the car. If gordy/Kim can provide documentation from a certified auto repair shop or dealership that there is no compression problem – then we would be happy to refund our diagnostic charge.
